Pumpkin Buckets
Pumpkin Bucket (Large)
Buy the cheapest plastic pumpkin bucket you can find—nothing fancy is needed. Local craft stores often carry these.
Pumpkin Bucket (Small)
Smaller buckets make really cute characters and visually compliments the large buckets when styling in your home.
Acrylic Paint
Folk Art is my favorite affordable acrylic paint brand. There are so many colors to choose from!
Acrylic Paint Markers
These markers apply beautifully (like a real paintbrush!) and are the secret to leveling up your painting. I use them for everything!
Fast Paper Mache Mix
A convenient, just-add-water paper mâché mix that makes sculpting and covering the bucket much quicker and less messy. The best hack!
Black Craft Wire
Used to create the decorative curled handle (among other things). A great craft supply to have on hand.
Clear Acrylic Sealer
A final protective coat to seal the bucket. I prefer a high-gloss finish, but you do you!
Course Sandpaper
Use a coarse sandpaper to thoroughly scuff the shiny plastic surface so the paper mâché has something to grip.
Ruffle Lace Ribbon Trim
I love the contrasting trim on this ruffled lace. It adds so much character, and comes in both white and black!
Binder Rings
An optional way to keep each year’s Halloween Time Capsule Card together as your collection grows.
Gold Leaf Sheets
Use small, imperfect flecks to add a subtle metallic detail to cheeks or other painted features.
